You will be the Tech Lead and strategic anchor for Team Data. We are looking for an agent of change with an analytics background - someone who can take true ownership of our data architecture, real-time insights, and AI platform, while guiding a talented, multidisciplinary team toward our next phase of growth.

We need your analytical powerhouse mindset to ensure our data pipelines, real-time analytics, and LLM features are world-class, reliable, and built to scale.

Data & Analytics Impact: Scale our ClickHouse and TimescaleDB pipelines to deliver trusted, lightning-fast real-time insights and govern our Luzmo embedded analytics.
AI Maturity & Delivery: Move past the basics of AI. Push the boundaries of our platform with production-ready LLM features, advanced prompting, and smart cost/quality governance.
Data Reliability & Excellence: Act as a catalyst for quality by upgrading our data testing strategies, reducing pipeline incidents, and embedding an observability-first mindset across the data stack.
AI-Assisted Velocity: Establish clear team standards for AI-assisted workflows (like Copilot/Codex) to safely maximize team productivity and delivery predictability.

Datastores & Analytics: ClickHouse query endpoints, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Redis/Valkey, Elasticsearch, and Luzmo analytics.
AI/LLM Stack: Multi-model/provider workflows, prompt engineering, token/cost governance, embeddings, clustering, and topic modeling.
Backend Ecosystem: Python and TypeScript/Node.
Cloud & Platform: GCP, Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
Testing & Tooling: Pytest, Vitest, Playwright, CircleCI, and GitHub workflows.

🌟 What you will do:
As a Tech Lead - Team Data, your job will be to:
Lead & Empower: Directly guide, mentor, and grow a multidisciplinary engineering team, establishing clear priorities and reducing cross-team friction.
Customer Exposure & Drive: Drive data features with a strong customer-centric mindset. You’ll work closely with how our enterprise clients leverage analytics, translating their real-world data needs into platform capabilities.
Own the Data Architecture: Define the technical boundaries and data models across our services, ensuring seamless event-driven analytics and robust AI integration.
Ship Resilient AI Features: Guide the team in designing production LLM features with sophisticated error-handling, retries, fallbacks, and cost controls.
Champion Data Governance: Elevate our data testing rigor and monitoring to ensure our analytics are trusted, accurate, and highly available.
🌟 What we think you bring to the table:
6+ years of professional software engineering experience, with at least 2+ years of proven experience successfully leading multidisciplinary teams.
Deep Analytics Roots: A strong, proven background in data engineering, data analytics, or building heavy data-intensive products. You know how to unlock value from high-throughput data layers (ClickHouse and TimescaleDB experience is a plus).
Customer Drive: High agency, proactive drive, and comfort with customer exposure. You want to understand the why behind user behavior and customer data requests.
High-Level Technical Literacy: You don't need to be a hands-on frontend ninja or a pure backend code-monkey, but you have the architectural breadth to understand how frontend, backend, and data components connect so you can effectively guide the team.
Production AI Awareness: A solid grasp of shipping LLM/NLP features to production, including cost management, quality evaluation, and prompt hygiene.
Metrics-Driven Leadership: The ability to run engineering workflows backed by solid metrics for data reliability, team velocity, and platform stability.
🌟 It’s a bonus if you have experience with:
Establishing organizational standards for AI coding assistants (Copilot/Codex playbooks).
Advanced Kubernetes orchestration (Helm) and complex GCP cloud setups.
Handling scaling challenges around real-time data ingestion and event-driven architectures.
